The coffee plant has been used by people for a very long time. Here is a brief look at the history of coffee.
11 Century
The remedy "Bunchum" is the first time mentioned in writing. Later, the derived word "Bunc" used in relation to coffee cultivation. Historians argue whether this can be considered as evidence of the popularity of coffee was at this time.
Mid-15th Century

After a crushing victory against the Turks, the abandoned coffee inventory of the Turks as a large part of the booty to be donated to interested parties. One result was the first Viennese coffee houses.

18. Century
Coffee is becoming a product that has a global economic relevance. Coffee was at this time a drink for all social strata.
1726
This is considered the official birth of the coffee crop in Brazil, the most important time for the coffee-growing country.
1850
Coffee is now finally to become a popular drink. The rich people drink it in the morning and afternoon. The poor consume coffee in the form of coffee soup.
19. Century
The specialized coffee market is formed. Plantation, transportation and roasting are separated. With the invention of steam navigation, the transportation routes for coffee are significantly improved.
Early 20th Century
For the first time, coffee production far exceeds demand. In 1903 the price of coffee, is at its lowest level ever.
Today, coffee production is more industrialized. Instant coffee is invented. In 1905 a patent to produce decaffeinated coffee is pending. The worldwide coffee consumption increased from 600,000 bags of green coffee in 1750, up to 94 million bags of green coffee in 1995.
